Who I Am

I’ve been trying to figure out God and what my role on earth is for most of my life…

**************************

I grew up in a loving, Catholic family but I couldn’t stand church. It was rigid, joyless, and completely uninteresting. If God and my family were all about love, church didn’t seem to be an accurate representation of the miraculous creator of it all. (More on this in future posts.)

I often wondered if ordinary people out there ever sat down to actually read the bible and talk about it with others in an informal setting. Years later, I learned that people do. I became one of them.

I use this space to honestly chronicle my journey in understanding Christianity, regardless of whether it is politically correct or fits into anyone’s mold. While I may sometimes express my opinion, it will not be with the intent to offend. Genuine self-expression is important to me.

I also use this space to open up my vulnerabilities and show you that you’re not alone, to question what I don’t yet understand, and to inspire you in the ways I’ve been inspired.
